Muzaffarnagar. A surprising case has come to light in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Here, in the absence of her husband, the father-in-law raped his pregnant daughter-in-law. When wife Tabassum informed this to her husband, he said, “Now I cannot live with you.” After my father had sex with you, you have now become my father’s wife and my mother. That’s why I can’t live with you anymore. Saying this, he threw his wife out of the house. The woman has now filed a complaint letter against her father-in-law and mother-in-law as well as her husband in the local police station, pleading for justice. On the basis of the woman’s complaint, the police has registered a case against the accused father-in-law. A case of rape has been registered and investigation has been started into this entire incident.

The case pertains to a village in Kakrauli police station area of Muzaffarnagar district. 20-year-old Tabassum, living here, was married to Istakhar, son of Mudassir of Sikandarpur village of Meerapur police station area, on 19 August 2022. Tabassum alleges that after the marriage, His father-in-law Istekhar kept an evil eye on him. On July 5, 2023, when her husband Mudassir had gone to Meerapur to take his mother to Hakim. During that time, seeing her alone at home, her father-in-law forcefully raped her and also said that if she informed anyone about this, he would throw her out of the house and if she still did not agree, he would kill her.

When her mother-in-law and husband returned home in the evening, she informed the entire incident to her mother-in-law and husband. After this, Mudassir threw his wife Tabassum out of the house saying that now what kind of relationship do we have with you? Since you have established a relationship with our father, then according to him you have become his wife and I am your mother. That’s why you can’t live with me anymore. Saying this, mother-in-law and husband beat Tabassum and threw her out of the house.

Tabassum is mentally broken due to this attitude of mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband. She was so frightened by the physical harassment that she did not inform anyone about the incident and came to her father’s house. After a month had passed since the incident, Tabassum and her family filed a police complaint against the accused mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband. While giving, he has appealed for justice. The police have registered a case under section 376,323,506 against the accused father-in-law Istekhar and have started investigating the entire matter.
